BERKELEY COUNTY, SC – A man shoveling snow died from a heart attack Thursday morning, according to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
Coroner Darnell Coroner said his office was notified of a death at a home in the Oakley community of Berkeley County at approximately 10:53 a.m.
Once on scene and throughout the investigation, it was determined that the man was shoveling snow outside his home when he had the fatal medical event. He was 71-years-old.

The man’s name has not been released at this time.

Central Berkeley Fire & EMS and Moncks Corner Rural Fire & Rescue responded to this
incident.
