BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Two schools currently under construction in Berkeley County officially have names.
Members approved the names at Monday evening’s regular meeting of the Berkeley Board of Education.
The new elementary school will be named Bee Tree Elementary, and the new middle school will be called Midtown Middle.
Bee Tree Elementary is located in the Jedburg area, near the intersection of Cane Bay Blvd. and Black Tom Road, while Midtown Middle is situated on Blueway Avenue in the Nexton area off of Highway 17A.
Both schools are slated to open their doors to students in August 2026.
Attendance lines for the schools have not yet been established.
