MONCKS CORNER, SC – Berkeley County Water and Sanitation announced this morning that there is a temporary water outage affecting 37 customers on Royle Road.
The temporary water outage is required, as crews work to fix a damaged water main on Royle Road. Berkeley County Water and Sanitation expects the repairs to be completed by 2:00 PM today.
When the repairs are completed, staff will flush the affected area and take bacteriological samples to our lab for processing to ensure the safety of the water.
The 37 customers have been placed on a boil water advisory and will be notified by Berkeley County Water and Sanitation when the advisory has been lifted.
Customers in the surrounding areas experienced low-water pressure for a short period of time while crews worked to isolate the problem. Pressure has since returned to normal.
