Kori Brown Named Principal of Daniel Island School

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Kori Brown has been named the new principal of Daniel Island School located in Daniel Island, South Carolina.

The Berkeley County School Board approved the appointment at their meeting on Tuesday, July 26. Brown will begin her new assignment on August 1 to prepare for the upcoming school year.

“I am honored to be given the responsibility and trust to serve the Daniel Island community,” said Principal Brown. “I look forward to sustaining the wonderful things happening at Daniel Island School and moving forward with STEAM education and arts integration. Together, with teachers, parents, and community, we will empower all of our students for success.”

Brown has invested 21 years in public education, beginning her career as a second grade teacher in Georgetown, SC. In 2008, Brown joined Berkeley County as an assistant principal at Whitesville Elementary and, in 2010, served as an assistant principal/interim principal at Sedgefield Intermediate.

Brown has served as the assistant principal at Daniel Island School for the past three years.
