Coroner: Teen Killed After Striking Tree With Vehicle In Huger

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–An early morning traffic accident has left one person dead.

On Friday at 5:20 a.m. Kenneth Tuten, 19,  of Cordesville was on his way to work traveling on Cainhoy Road in Huger when his SUV ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, authorities stated.

He was pronounced dead on the scene by Coroner Bill Salisbury and his death was ruled accidental.

He was wearing a seatbelt, Salisbury added.

The accident was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the SC Highway Patrol.
