GOOSE CREEK, S.C.–A woman has died from injuries she sustained after stepping into traffic on Redbank Road, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
Salisbury stated that on Tuesday night at 10:45 p.m. a 34-year-old female walked onto the highway (the 700 block) in Goose Creek and was struck by a vehicle.
She was transported to Trident Hospital and died on Wednesday morning at 6:29 a.m.
The accident is under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner and the SC Highway Patrol.
The coroner stated that the name will be released after the next of kin is notified.
