BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–One person was shot and rushed to the hospital following a shooting along the 800-block of Jedburg Road on Thursday afternoon.
The shooting happened at the Spinx gas station, according to authorities.
Deputies say the victim pulled up to the pumps to fuel up his vehicle when a black Dodge Journey pulled up and someone fired a pistol at the victim, striking him. EMS responded and transported the 33-year-old victim to Trident Hospital where he was treated. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The victim was alert and able to communicate after being treated
No suspects are presently in custody, however, deputies have released a photo of the car the suspect(s) was driving.
The motive is still being investigated as well as a possible link between the suspect and victim.

The gas station has only been open for a short period of time. It officially opened its doors to the public in early May.
