BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Berkeley Animal Control wants to know who shot a 2-year-old Rottweiler and left it to die.
On Wednesday, officers say they found the young dog, they’ve since named Buster, in a ditch on Cooper Store Road with bullet wounds to his hind legs.
They say he was also connected to a heavy, loose chain.
The officers responded to Buster’s location after they say a motorist saw him in the ditch by Cooper Store Road.
Buster is reportedly going to be okay but one leg was amputated on Friday.
If you’ve seen this dog before or know who might be responsible for badly injuring him, please call Animal Control at 843-719-4210.
Buster is currently being cared for by Libby and Mace’s Place Animal Rescue. To follow his recovery, click on this link.
