MONCKS CORNER, S.C.– A possible tornado may have touched down Thursday afternoon in Moncks Corner and destroyed the roof of the DMV.
“The storm is not over. Please stay safe and indoors while it passes,” warned Berkeley County officials.

According to the National Weather Service, severe scattered thunderstorms will persist into Thursday evening. An isolated severe thunderstorm is
possible, with the primary threat being damaging wind gusts.
