BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Officials from the City of Goose Creek, Berkeley County and the Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce participated in an “Economic Blitz” at Carnes Crossroads on Thursday, Feb. 13.
During the event, they shared information about economic development and the continuing growth of this area of the Charleston region.
Approximately 75 business leaders, realtors and community members gathered for an evening reception at the historic Green Barn at Carnes Crossroads to hear about how the City of Goose Creek is addressing growth, and how county and economic development leaders are working to attract businesses and maintain services as the residential population here continues to grow.
Featured speakers at the Economic Blitz, which was hosted by the Carnes Crossroads Information Center, included Goose Creek Mayor Gregory Habib, Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce CEO Elaine Morgan, Berkeley County Economic Development Director Barry Jurs, and Berkeley County Workforce Development Manager Kristen Lanier.
