BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – If you travel Cypress Gardens Road as part of your regular commute, you may want to plan your next trip accordingly.
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7, SCDOT will be conducting repairing the bridge over Canterhill Swamp on Cypress Gardens Road in Moncks Corner.
Work will continue through Thursday, Sept. 9, according to Berkeley County officials.
During that timeframe, a 1.5-mile detour will be in place. Traffic will be detoured onto Garrett Avenue and Tom Hill Road to get back onto Highway 52.
Drivers are urged to drive with caution and follow signage and traffic control devices that will be in place.
