BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis announced the arrest of a man after a homicide investigation began after a male was located deceased in St. Stephen.
Deputies have arrested and charged Jermayne Jequan Wigfall, 20, with murder. Wigfall was arrested on
Wednesday, February 15.
The arrest occurred after detectives worked effortlessly around the clock to look into circumstances after a male was located deceased on Friday, February 10. Deputies responded on that date to a call from a concerned citizen stating he believed he found a deceased male on Highway 52, near the Williamsburg County line.
Deputies responded to the call and located a male who was pronounced deceased on scene.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Juan Milford, Jr., 18.
This case is being investigated as a homicide shooting.Â
