BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – Detectives have arrested a man wanted in connection with a double homicide that took place five days before Christmas, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
Isaiah Bennett, 20, of Hayden Glenn Drive in North Charleston has been charged with two counts of murder.
On Wednesday, Dec. 20, deputies said they responded to Summer Creek Mobile Home Park, off of College Park Road, for gunfire and a victim lying in the roadway. Once on scene, deputies said they also located a second victim dead inside a home.

“Detectives worked tirelessly through the Christmas holidays to bring some peace and closure to these victims’ families.” Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis stated. “We hope this arrest will help them begin the healing process of tragically losing family members. We are thankful to the community for the assistance and tips that helped bring this case to a closure.”
Bennett has been booked into the Hill Finklea Detention Center and is pending a bond hearing.
