BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.—After pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter and attempted murder for the death of 21-year-old Brittany Aigoro of Pineville, a Berkeley Co. judge sentenced Brandon Jenkins of Eutawville to 24 years in prison.
According to court documents, Jenkins received credit for the 993 days he’s already served behind bars.
Three years ago, Aigoro was shot to death at a home located on 1510 Russellville Road near St. Stephen.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found the young woman dead on the front port. Another person, Kendrick Shirer, was also shot but survived.
Deputies say the motive was armed robbery. Officers eventually arrested six people for the crime—including Aigoro’s own fiancée, Aveon Goodman. Others arrested included: Deanna Shaw, Joshua Jenkins, Arnashia Stokes and Sheldon Goodman—who was sentenced to 23 years in prison last month..
Some of the suspects charged at the time of the crime were as young as 17-years-old.
Aigoro was a 2008 graduate of Timberland High School.
