ST. STEPHEN, S.C.–Early Friday morning, American Red Cross volunteers provided assistance to an adult and child whose home caught on fire. They say the damage was major.
A spokesperson for the Red Cross says that the family lives on McKelveys Road in St. Stephen. Volunteers provided financial assistance for lodging, food and clothing, along with referrals to help the family recover from the fire.
Since January 1st, the American Red Cross Palmetto SC Region has helped more than 1,600 individuals affected by disasters.
