BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley Co. Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Dan Moon, the young man found dead inside a home in Ladson is 24-year-old Syquone Kwame Pinckney.
Moon says deputies responded to a home at 227 Judy Hill Drive after neighbors discovered Pinckney’s body on the floor of a house.
When neighbors saw that the rear door of the house was opened and after calling the victim’s name several times, Moon says that’s when neighbors entered the house.
Investigators say neighbors immediately called 9-1-1 and deputies responded and determined Pinckney was a victim of “foul play.”
Preliminary information indicates Pinckney died as a result of a gunshot wound.
Deputies have not released a motive or named any potential suspects at this time.
Moon says the investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
