BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Friends of Randy Fallaw are coming together to remember this local firefighter’s birthday in a big way.
On April 10th, Randy would have turned 39-years-old.
Unfortunately, this beloved firefighter’s life was cut short on December 28, 2014 when a driver in front of him lost control of the SUV they were in, causing Randy to, in turn, lose control of his own truck.
The accident took place in the Upstate in Anderson County.
In honor of his birthday, friends are asking people to perform a random act of kindness or “ROAK” on April 10th.
In addition to being a business owner and volunteer firefighter in Berkeley County, Randy was a son, brother, uncle, friend and believer in the ripple effect of helping strangers in need.
“It doesn’t matter your location, by performing a RAOK in his honor, Randy can continue to touch lives and make people smile,” wrote friends on the virtual event’s Facebook page. “Your RAOK could be as simple as helping your neighbor, paying the parking meter for someone, taping a dollar to the coke machine, buying someone’s coffee or even paying for someone’s dinner or groceries.”
Randy’s friends are asking folks to be creative but most importantly, please do something special and unexpected for someone in Randy’s memory on April 10th.
