The Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments (BCDCOG) has been awarded $860,000 to plan for transit-oriented development (TOD) along its proposed 21.5-mile Lowcountry Rapid Transit (LCRT) line.

Customers can earn bill credits for helping Santee Cooper reduce electricity use during periods of high electric demand or during times when system resources are constrained.

According to the company, the expansion will also provide access to Comcast’s Internet Essentials program, the nation’s largest and most successful broadband adoption initiative for low-income families in Berkeley County.

The property has an absolute triple-net lease with its tenant, meaning Wendy’s is 100 percent responsible
for all expenses, including building structure repairs, for the next 17.5 years.
