BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Funeral services for James “Andy” Hill will take place this Friday at 6 p.m. at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home in Goose Creek. He was 55-years-old.
Berkeley County deputies discovered Hill dead inside his home on Old Gilliard Road on Sunday.
The coroner said he suffered gunshot wounds to his chest, shoulder and back. His death has been ruled a homicide.
A graduate of Goose Creek High School, Hill was the owner and operator of ECS Heating and Air for more than twenty years. According to his family, he enjoyed hunting fishing and watching sports.
“He was a good man and he will be greatly missed,” stated Clarence Meyer.
At this time, deputies have yet to make an arrest in Hill’s murder but do have a person of interest. Authorities are actively looking for 37-year-old Lonnie Powers Jr.

Hill leaves behind several children, siblings and grandchildren.
