Bond set at more than $200,000 for woman arrested in deadly Jamestown wreck

JAMESTOWN, S.C.—A judge has set bond for Jamie Shuler, 30, at $200,914 stemming from a fatal wreck that resulted in the tragic death of her father, James Shuler, 67.

Her father, who was known by many as “Little Bubba,” will be buried this Thursday at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.

A retired technician for TDS Telecom, he leaves behind his mother; his daughter, Jamie; a step-daughter, Anita Michaelbrook, a sister, Barbara Quattlebaum of Pineville; two brothers, Bruington “Sonny” Shuler, Jr., of Shulerville, and Mark L. Shuler of Jamestown; and three grandchildren, Loston, Carley, and Drake.

At this time, Jamie still reminds behind bars at the Berkeley County Detention Center.

According to SC Highway Patrol, Jamie Shuler attempted to pass another vehicle in Jamestown Saturday in a “no passing zone.”

Officers say she struck the other vehicle, which in turn, sent four other people to the hospital.

Coroner Bill Salisbury pronounced Jamie’s father dead at the scene.
