BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–On Wednesday afternoon, February 3, Charlie Davis, BCSD Coordinator of Pupil Services, collapsed during the BCSD Athletic Signing Day Ceremony, stated BCSD Spokesperson Katie Orvin.
District officials and school administrators responded immediately, performing CPR until emergency officials arrived.
“BCSD is thankful to report that Mr. Davis is expected to make a full recovery,” stated Orvin. “We appreciate the quick action of our district officials and school administrators and the response of emergency personnel. Thank you to our students, parents and guests in attendance for their patience and understanding.”
Orvin stated that the signing ceremony will be rescheduled and the district will provide that information as soon as it becomes available.
