MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Parker’s Kitchen celebrated the grand opening of its second state-of-the-art retail store in Moncks Corner on Thursday.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, representatives with the fast-growing gas station chain presented a $5,000 check to the Berkeley County School District through Parker’s Kitchen Fueling The Community Program.
The company’s 61st store, which is the second location in Moncks Corner, offers award-winning, Southern-inspired Parker’s Kitchen food prepared fresh on-site daily as well as gourmet coffee, freshly brewed sweet tea, 28-degree beer, fountain drinks with Chewy Ice and a wide range of convenience items.
The new Moncks Corner store is the fourth Charleston-area Parker’s Kitchen location and is part of a $50 million investment by the company.
The newest Parker’s Kitchen locations are part of a strategic $50 million expansion into the metro Charleston market over the next 12 months. The Savannah-based company plans to open 40 new-to-industry locations in the greater Charleston area over the next four years and to secure 30 percent market share.
“We want to raise the bar for what customers in the metro Charleston area can expect from a convenience store,” said Parker’s founder and CEO Greg Parker. “That’s why we serve fresh, Southern-inspired comfort food that’s made from scratch on-site, each and every day. That’s why we offer the latest technology, so our customers can spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying life. At Parker’s Kitchen, we know that time is the most precious commodity of all.”
Headquartered in Savannah, Ga., Parker’s Kitchen has been recognized by USA Today for its food selection and has earned raves as a top-rated restaurant on TripAdvisor.
