GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – The Goose Creek Police Department is asking the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in a recent homicide case.
The person of interest is described as a black man in his early 20s and goes by the street name of “LILTICK.”
According to police, they believe he has information surrounding a homicide that occurred Saturday, July 3, 2021 around 7 p.m. at the Cream of The Crop Barbershop & Salon, which is at 139 E. Red Bank Road.
Police said when they arrived at the location, officers found a male victim outside, behind the barber shop. The victim, identified as Rae’Jay Palmer, had been shot one time in the right buttocks. Palmer was transported to Trident Hospital for treatment, where he died from his injury.
During the investigation, police said they determined that Palmer was at the barbershop getting his haircut, when an unknown black man entered the shop. The person approached Palmer and a verbal altercation ensued. The verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation. Palmer attempted to flee toward the back of the shop, when he was shot.
