BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – This September, Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) is joining the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide for Library Card Sign-Up Month, a time to remind parents, teachers and students that a library card is the first step towards academic achievement and lifelong learning.
Prize drawings will be for children, teens and adults. Throughout the month, BCLS will be encouraging children ages 0-11 to get a library card and be entered into a drawing for an Imagine Your Story puppet.
Adults and teens may also register and enter to win the following prizes:
- Adults – A Tails and Tales cloth bag, stainless-steel mug, book and water bottle.
- Teens – A Vekkia rechargeable Huglight.
There are two ways to get a library card:
- Visit any library, including the Mobile Library, and register!
- Visit https://berkeleylibrarysc.libwizard.com/eregistration
