MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – A new Bojangles is now serving up its famous southern-style chicken near Foxbank Plantation. This is the restaurant chain’s second location in the Moncks Corner area.

Bojangles is leasing the 2,858 square-foot, free-standing restaurant complete with a drive-thru and seating for up to 20 people from Columbia-based Cypress Development.

“Congratulations to Bojangles on opening this newest location in the Charleston metro area. We appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this project, and a part of Bojangles’ store development efforts,” said Mark James, principal of Cypress.

“With the growth in Berkeley County and the Highway 52 corridor specifically, we are confident this will be a great restaurant for them,” he continued. “The new location will not only provide easy and convenient access to Bojangles’ famous chicken and biscuits to customers in the area, but it will also create jobs and generate revenue that will benefit the entire community.”

Founded in 1977 as a single location in Charlotte, N.C., the Bojangles brand continues to grow with currently about 800 company-owned and franchised restaurants around the country.

Harrison French and Associates of Bentonville Arkansas served as the architect for the Bojangles building off of Hwy. 52 near Foxbank. Ganaway Construction of Atlanta was the general contractor. The site contractor was Truluck Construction of Charleston and the engineer was the Charlotte office of BL Companies.

Other new development in the area includes a Publix anchored shopping center, a Parker’s Kitchen gas & convenience store, Heartland Dental and a Dunkin’ Donuts which is about to start construction.

Additionally, a 318-unit Class-A apartment community is currently under construction, and Foxbank Plantation’s master-planned community continues to see significant construction of new homes.
