MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Moncks Corner police arrested a man Saturday following a fatal shooting on Birchwood Drive that left one woman dead.
Trivelle Fowler, 34, of Holly Hill has been charged with murder, according to police.
At 4:15 p.m. officers responded to 432 Birchwood Dr. for a possible homicide. When officers arrived, they said they found a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds with no signs of life.
The Moncks Corner Fire Department, Berkeley County EMS, and the Berkeley County coroner responded and declared the victim deceased at the scene.

According to Coroner Darnell Hartwell, the victim is Adiarylis Fowler, 24, of Holly Hill.
An investigation by Moncks Corner detectives ultimately led to identifying Fowler as the shooting suspect. He remains behind bars at the Hill Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner.
What led to the shooting is unclear. The investigation is ongoing, MCPD said.
