MONCKS CORNER, S.C.—It hasn’t take construction crews long to build the first Moncks Corner Chick-Fil-A.
Talked about for years, the new restaurant is nearly finished and scheduled to open for business in mid-April. Construction originally started in December 2014.
“Assuming all inspections go well (fingers crossed), we are on track for an April 16 opening,” stated Justin Clark, the owner and operator.
The restaurant is located on Highway 52 and sits across from the Walmart Supercenter.
According to Clark, the new restaurant will bring 80 part-time and full-time jobs to Moncks Corner.
So far, Clark says the response from the community has been very welcoming.
“Everyone I have met has shared their enthusiasm that Chick-fil-A is finally coming,” stated Clark. “The community’s hospitality has been a blessing to me and my wife, Jenny.”
During the grand opening, the restaurant will hold a contest called the “First 100 Camp Out” that’s become a bit of a tradition with Chick-Fil-A restaurants around the country.
Essentially, the first 100 people inside the restaurant during the first official day of business will receive Chick-fil-A for a year.
Currently, there are two other Chick-Fil-A restaurants in Berkeley County. One is located on St. James Avenue in Goose Creek and the other on Main Street in Summerville.
