BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to the Berkeley Co. Coroner’s Office, on March 29, 2015 at 2:45 a.m., 28-year-old Barry Jennings Bass, of Moncks Corner, was traveling south on Old Highway 52 when his Ford F 250 truck ran off the right side of the roadway.
Coroner Bill Salisbury said Bass then over-corrected and ran off the left side and struck several trees.
He was trapped in the vehicle and was removed by the local fire department.
Salisbury stated that he was pronounced dead on the scene.
His death was ruled accidental and was investigated by The Coroner’s Office and the S C Highway Patrol.
Salisbury said that he was not wearing a seatbelt.
