SANGAREE, S.C. – Berkeley County deputies said they located a homemade pipe bomb Monday evening in Sangaree.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies initially responded to a home in Sangaree for a disturbance prior to making the discovery.
One person was taken into custody, the sheriff’s office said.
SLED and the Charleston County’s Bomb Squad were called in to assist with the investigation.
No other details were provided.
