BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–According to Berkeley Co. Sheriff Spokesperson Dan Moon, the drug enforcement unit of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has arrested five people on charges related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Moon says they were arrested inside a home located along the 800 block of Eastern White Pine Rd. in Ladson.
Those arrested were: 31-year-old Christopher Jenkins, 29-year-old David Howell, 24 Ashley Gallimore–all from Goose Creek. Ulghni Ortiz, 32, of North Charleston and Angela Steward, 37, of Ladson were also taken into custody.
An arrest warrant has been issued for 21-year-old Marcel Alston of Ladson who is being sought on the same charge.
With a warrant to search the home, Moon says agents found several components consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine throughout the home.
All five suspects arrested were present during the search and through investigation, it was determined that Alston also resided there and had left prior to the agents’ arrival.
