Passenger killed in Pineville wreck, ejected from car

PINEVILLE, S.C.–According to Berkeley Co. Coroner Bill Salisbury,  52-year-old Anthony Brown, of Cross, was a passenger in a Lincoln town car traveling on Thomas Walters Road in Pineville when he died in an accident Saturday shortly after 8:00 p.m.

Salisbury say the driver was transported to MUSC and his condition is unknown at this time.

The coroner says the car ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned several times.

Both Brown and the driver were ejected from the vehicle and were not wearing seat belts.

His death has been ruled accidental and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the SC Highway Patrol investigated the accident.
