ST. STEPHEN, S.C.–According to a Red Cross representative, volunteers assisted a family of three adults and one child after they say a fire destroyed their home Tuesday.
The house was located on Albany Street in St. Stephen.
The St. Stephen Fire Department responded to the blaze.
The Red Cross provided the victims with temporary lodging, food, clothing, comfort kits containing personal hygiene items, and referrals to assist the family with their long term recovery.
Last year the Palmetto South Carolina Region assisted 7,118 individuals affected by disaster in South Carolina.
