GOOSE CREEK, S.C.— The Goose Creek Police Department needs help identifying the individual seen in the image on this page taken from the Publix in Goose Creek.
According to police, on Tuesday they met with an accountant for East Coast Paper Hanging and Paint who told officers that he was recently reviewing check images for the company’s TD Bank checking account.
He told police he noticed that there was a check that had the company’s account number on it but was “obviously forged.”
The accountant was able to provide a copy of the check to police, which shows that the check was presented at Publix on October 3rd, 2014 for the amount of $215.13.
The accountant told police that the account on the forged check is associated with the company’s payroll account.
He added that around the same time the forged check was presented at Publix, one of their workers stopped coming into work and has not been heard or seen from since.
If you have any information regarding this incident, or if you know this individual, please contact Inv. Micah Fogle at (843) 863-5200 ext. 2334.
