BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–On March 5, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. a pickup truck driven by 20-year-old Daniel Meza Lira, of Saluda, S.C. was traveling east on I-26 near mile marker 189.
According to Berkeley Co. Deputy Coroner George Olliver, the driver was in lane one and lost control of the truck and crossed over into lane two and struck another vehicle.
The truck continued off the right side of the roadway and struck several trees.
He was pronounced dead on the scene by the Coroner’s Office.
His death has been ruled accidental and was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the S C Highway Patrol.
He was wearing a seatbelt.
