BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–The Berkeley County Sheriffâs Office, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, made the arrest. The Hanahan Police Department assisted in the investigation.
Investigators say Moore was involved in sending child pornography via file sharing.
A search warrant was obtained and executed at Mooreâs residence on February 27, 2015. Multiple computers and other electronic equipment were taken for forensic examination.
Moore was arrested on March 16, 2015. He is charged with one (1) count of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor second, degree (§16-15-405), a felony offense punishable by up to ten (10) years imprisonment on each count; and nine (9) counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, third degree (§16-15-410), a felony offense punishable by up to ten (10) years imprisonment on each count.
Bond was set at $20,000.  Moore is not allowed to access the Internet, and must avoid contact with all children except his own.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
