BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–This week the Longridge Fire Department announced the passing of former chief Mike Santos.
Since the announcement, dozens of people have taken to social media to express their condolences.
“Chief always had your back. Rest peacefully,” wrote Roger Ford.
“RIP Chief, He was such a Great Person, He will be missed. God Bless,” wrote Susan Hursey.
“Very sad to hear. He will be missed by many!” wrote Bethany-Diane Stephenson Walden.
The arrangements for Chief Mike Santos (retired) of the Longridge Fire Department are as follows:
The viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, at Canaan Christian Church located at 1232 Queenie Rd, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., at the Greater St. James AME Church located at 1831 Jedburg Road, Summerville SC 29483.
The service will be done with fire department honors. Any department wishing to send apparatus are requested to be at the Greater St. James AME Church no later than 1000. Graveside service following at the church’s cemetery.
“Please keep the friends and family of Chief Santos, as well as the men and women in the Berkeley County Fire Departments who are morning the loss of a great man in your thoughts and prayers,” wrote the Longridge Fire Department on Facebook.
