Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office To Hold Citizen Police Academy

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Want to learn how the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department protects citizens? Take part in Citizen Police Academy sessions that will take place Tuesdays from 6-8PM from September 13 – October 1, 2016.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is holding their Citizen Police Academy beginning September 13, 2016.

Classes are scheduled for September 13 through October 11, 2016. Anyone interested in the opportunity to meet with deputies, learn about the daily operation of the Sheriff‘s Office, including patrol, investigations, victim services, judicial services, warrants division, community services, specialized units and the detention center is invited to attend.

To take part you must be a citizen of Berkeley County, be at least 18 years old and not have been convicted of a serious crime. Classes will meet at 6:00 PM each Tuesday night beginning on September 13th for five weeks.
