2022 Primary Runoff: Berkeley County Results

Early voting for South Carolina’s 2026 primary elections opens Tuesday, giving Berkeley County voters nearly two weeks to cast their ballots ahead of Primary Day. (FILE IMAGE)

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – The results are in for Tuesday’s primary runoff. In Berkeley County, only 7,499 eligible voters – 5.19 percent – cast their ballots in the election.

According to election officials, there are 144,607 registered voters in Berkeley County.

With all 94 precincts reporting, here’s how Berkeley County voted:

Berkeley County Council District 6 (Republican)

  • Robert H Jeffcoat – 36.45% (671 votes)
  • Marshall West – 63.55% (1,170 votes)

State House of Representatives, District 101 (Democrat)

  • Roger K Kirby – 73.17% (60 votes)
  • Cezar McKnight – 26.83% (22 votes)

U.S. Senate (Democrat)

  • Catherine Fleming Bruce – 29.54% (475 votes)
  • Krystle Matthews 70.46% (1,133 votes)

State Superintendent of Education (Republican)

  • Kathy Maness – 33.30% (1,937 votes)
  • Ellen Weaver – 66.70% (3,879)
