GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – The Goose Creek Planning Commission is looking for public input concerning the city’s future redevelopment plans for the Red Bank Road corridor.
The corridor includes Red Bank Road from the Highway 52 intersection to past Howe Hall Road.
In an interview with ABC News 4, Goose Creek Mayor Greg Habib said Red Bank Road could be transformed into a thriving downtown area.
“We just really feel like there is a great opportunity for redevelopment there, to create an area whereby folks in our area will have a neat place to go,” Habib told the TV station.
As part of the redevelopment plan, city officials said they hope to beautify the area and help to alleviate some traffic woes.
