BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – One person has died and three others injured following a crash Saturday night in Berkeley County, the South Carolina Highway Patrol reported.
Cpl. Tyler Tidwell with SCHP said the crash happened around 7 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 52 near Bonneau Road, which is about one mile south of Bonneau.
According to Tidwell, a 1987 Chevy S-10 was traveling west on U.S. Hwy. 52 as a 2007 Toyota Camry traveled east. The two vehicles ultimately collided.
Three people inside the car were transported to Trident Medical Center. The driver of the truck died at the scene, Tidwell said.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office identified the driver of the truck as Corey Brown, 41, of Pineville. The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
