BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is turning to a new platform to engage with residents, launching an official podcast aimed at giving the community a closer look at the people and work behind the badge.
The podcast, titled The Berkeley Buzz, will be available on the agency’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
According to the sheriff’s office, the show is designed to highlight a wide range of topics — from law enforcement insights and community programs to lighter, more personal stories that showcase the human side of deputies and staff.
“This podcast is our way of connecting with the community in a new and engaging way,” Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis said. “We want people to see the dedication, teamwork, and sometimes fun moments that make up our daily work. It’s about transparency, education, and sharing our story in a way that everyone can enjoy.”
Officials say each episode will offer an inside look at the department’s operations, initiatives and community outreach efforts, while also giving viewers a chance to learn more about the individuals who serve Berkeley County.
The sheriff’s office is encouraging residents to tune in, join the conversation and gain a better understanding of local law enforcement through the new series.
New episodes are expected to be released regularly, featuring topics ranging from behind-the-scenes operations to community highlights.
