Via Press Release:

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Today, Marty Housand, a veteran law enforcement officer and currently a Republican candidate for Berkeley County sheriff announced that he is proposing a clean campaign pledge and is calling on all of the candidates to sign it.

“Voters are tired of politics as usual. The circumstances surrounding the way our last sheriff left office was just unacceptable,” Marty Housand said. “Berkeley County now needs a sheriff we can all count on. That’s why today I am proposing a Clean Campaign Pledge because if you can’t run a clean campaign, how in the world can you be expected to run a clean sheriff’s office?”

Clean Campaign Pledge for 2015 Berkeley County Sheriff’s Election:

  • I pledge to be honest about my own record and policies.
  • I will not launch unfair or misleading attacks against other candidates.
  • I will not conduct or sanction personal attacks.
  • I will denounce any independent political group that unfairly attacks my opponents.

Signed,

Marty Housand

Republican Candidate for Berkeley County Sheriff
