BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C.–Howe Hall Arts Infused Magnet School (AIMS) will have three informational meetings at different schools in the area this week. Meetings will be from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 9, at Cross High School; Tuesday, March 10, at Berkeley High School and Thursday, March 12, at Timberland High School.
Any members of the community interested in learning about the school, its programs and the application and lottery process for the 2015-2016 academic year should think about attending.
Howe Hall AIMS is a public magnet school that serves 420 Kindergarten through fifth grade students.
The school’s mission is to include the arts as an essential component of the curriculum to optimize student achievement through a variety of learning experiences that facilitate the development of students as lifelong learners and productive citizens.
In addition to the core academic subjects, the AIMS philosophy includes standards-based instruction in dance, drama, music, visual art, physical education, and Spanish.
Students have the opportunity to experience the arts through co-taught infusion lessons, exploratory classes and arts integration in their core subjects.
