Despite the closures, several services will continue without interruption. The county landfill and all convenience centers will remain open on their regular schedules, providing residents continued access to waste disposal.

What is Good Friday?

Good Friday is a Christian religious observance marking the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week, two days before Easter Sunday, and is considered one of the most solemn days in the Christian calendar.

While not a federal holiday in the United States, many state and local governments โ€” including some counties in South Carolina โ€” choose to close offices in recognition of the day.
