The web-based system allows parents and guardians to register students, upload required documents and complete the enrollment process without visiting a school in person. However, families without internet access can contact their zoned school to schedule an in-person appointment.
The district defines a โnew studentโ as anyone who is enrolling in Berkeley County schools for the first time, including students returning after leaving the district, children entering Pre-K4 programs and students starting kindergarten who were not previously enrolled in a BCSD preschool program. Students changing schools due to an address change are also required to complete the registration process.
District leaders emphasize that students are not officially enrolled until all required paperwork has been submitted and approved, either online or in person. To learn more about the required documentation, view allย enrollment requirementsย for the Berkeley County School District.

Parents can begin the process by visiting the districtโs registration portal at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Officials also noted that families zoned for Cane Bay Elementary School or Cane Bay Middle School should review additional information at this link regarding enrollment capacity limits at those campuses. At this time, the district does not expect kindergarten enrollment at Cane Bay Elementary to exceed capacity, meaning a lottery system is not anticipated.
Support is available for families experiencing issues with registration through an online help chat or by calling the districtโs support line at 866-752-6850.
The opening of registration marks the first step for families preparing for the next school year, as one of South Carolinaโs fastest-growing districts continues to see increasing enrollment.
