GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – Looking for something fun to do with the entire family in Berkeley County this weekend? Goose Creek will host Kids Fest, a back-to-school festival, this Saturday.
This year’s back-to-school celebration will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Central Creek Park, which is at 147 Old Moncks Corner Rd.
It will showcase music, a variety of family-friendly vendors, food trucks, free kids activities and back-to-school giveaways.
During the event, guests can help Broose, the city’s mascot, celebrate his birthday.
“Broose only has one item on his birthday wishlist this year…SCHOOL SUPPLIES for kiddos in our community!” city officials posted to Facebook.
Through Friday, residents can drop off school supplies at the city’s recreation complex at 519A N. Goose Creek Blvd. at the fitness center front desk at Central Creek Park at the main office.
Admission to Kids Fest is free.
Students head back to the classroom in Berkeley County on Aug. 21.
