BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – As South Carolina braces for heavy rains and winds from Idalia, the following Publix stores will close today, Wednesday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m. and are expected to reopen tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 31, at 9 a.m., pending conditions.
“Please keep in mind, hours may be adjusted, and the status of individual stores is subject to change based on Hurricane Idalia’s track and projected impacts,” Publix spokesperson Jared Glover said in a news release. “As always, our priority remains on the safety of our associates, customers and communities.”
Several of the stores are in Berkeley County, but The Berkeley Observer has included other closing locations throughout the Lowcountry.
