HANAHAN, S.C. — Hanahan Animal Control and the Hanahan Police Department are asking for the public’s help after a kitten was thrown from a moving vehicle Wednesday morning — an act investigators are calling a serious case of animal cruelty.
The incident occurred between 9:30 and 10 a.m. on Henry E. Brown Jr. Boulevard near the bridge, officials said. Witnesses reported seeing a kitten tossed from the passenger window of a gray or dark‑colored minivan or SUV, which then turned right onto Yeamans Hall Road.
In an update, Hanahan Police confirmed the kitten has been located and “appears to be in good health,” but emphasized the urgency of identifying the person responsible.
