MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – A new Christian boutique has officially opened its doors in Moncks Corner, with owners saying the business is about much more than retail.
Salt & Light Collective celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday before officially opening to the public during its grand opening the following day at 543 E. Main Street.
The Christian boutique welcomed customers with giveaways, Mother’s Day gift bundles and special promotions throughout opening day.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the owners shared an emotional message on Facebook thanking the town of Moncks Corner, the mayor, local chamber officials and community members for supporting the new Christian small business before it officially opened.
“To have a town rally around a small business and pour into a dream that started with prayer, faith, and obedience is incredibly humbling,” the business wrote online.
The owners said the journey to opening Salt & Light Collective involved “prayer, uncertainty, sacrifice, tears, rebuilding, and trusting God one step at a time.”
“So standing there yesterday surrounded by community support was emotional in a way I can’t fully explain,” the post continued.

Christian boutique centered on faith and encouragement
The owners describe Salt & Light Collective as a place built around faith, community and encouragement rather than simply shopping.
“What God placed on our hearts is now standing in front of us,” the post stated. “This was never just about opening a boutique. It was always about creating a place for faith, community, encouragement, and Kingdom purpose.”
The store’s owners said they envision the Christian boutique as a welcoming environment centered around meaningful conversations, prayer and spiritual connection.
The business also referenced a dedicated “War Room,” where Christian prayer and conversations with visitors are expected to play a central role in the store’s mission.
“Today, we pray over every person who walks through these doors,” the store wrote. “Every conversation. Every prayer in the War Room. Every mother finding encouragement. Every family looking for something meaningful.”
Feeling the love and support
Owners described the support from the community and town leadership as something they “will never forget.”
“The love, support, encouragement, and kindness that was shown to us was something we will never forget,” the business wrote online.
The opening comes as downtown Moncks Corner continues seeing growth in locally owned businesses and community-centered storefronts along East Main Street.
The Christian boutique offers a curated selection of faith-based merchandise, including inspirational apparel, devotionals, journals, Bibles and specialty gifts. The store features a soft boho-inspired style throughout its products and décor, highlighted by warm neutral tones, minimalist designs and gold accents.
Salt & Light Collective is closed Sundays and Mondays, but it’s open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
