MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – A new restaurant is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about dining spots in Moncks Corner after recently opening its doors.
Rollin Local began welcoming guests during their soft open Thursday, bringing a mix of sushi, hibachi, seafood, burgers and Asian fusion cuisine to downtown Moncks Corner.
Located at 108 E. Railroad Ave., the restaurant has already drawn packed tables and glowing online reviews from customers praising the atmosphere, presentation and sense of community inside the new establishment.
“The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, the presentation, the energy, the pricing, the people…every detail was so thoughtfully done,” one attendee wrote following the soft opening. “But more than anything, you could feel the sense of community in the room, and that’s what made it unforgettable.”
Extensive menu blends sushi bar favorites with Southern and Asian-inspired dishes
The menu at Rollin Local features an expansive lineup of sushi rolls, hibachi dinners, seafood platters and casual comfort foods.
At the sushi bar, customers can choose from specialty rolls like the “Sexy Roll,” made with snow crab, fried onions, mango and jalapeños topped with tuna and black caviar, or the “Torch Salmon,” featuring torched fresh salmon with spicy mayo and eel sauce. Other signature creations include lobster rolls, spicy tuna combinations and tempura-fried sushi options.
Classic sushi selections such as California rolls, spicy tuna rolls, salmon rolls and nigiri are also available, along with sashimi options including tuna, yellowtail, octopus, eel and smoked salmon.
Beyond sushi, the restaurant offers hibachi-style steak, chicken, shrimp, lobster and filet mignon dinners served with fried rice, zucchini, onions and soup or salad. Diners can also order poke bowls, seafood baskets, tacos and bento boxes.
The menu also includes Southern-inspired seafood dishes such as fried oysters, fried shrimp, crab balls and fried soft-shell crab, along with burgers, wings and appetizers ranging from tempura shrimp and crab rangoons to fried pickles and tuna nachos.
Fresh salads, cocktails and kid-friendly menu items round out the restaurant’s offerings.
